Anna Lembke, MD, Digs Deeper Into the Addiction Crisis as San Francisco Keynote Speaker

August 21, 2018

Last year, addiction expert Anna Lembke, MD, shined a light on the opioid epidemic. This year, the conversation continues as she digs deeper into the latest, most innovative solutions being developed to address addiction.

At our San Francisco conference, Dr. Lembke will discuss technological innovations in the treatment of addiction, including telehealth services, biomedical remedies, and self-binding applications. She will also explore innovative ways that hospitals can respond to the opioid epidemic and addiction more broadly, including creation of inpatient addiction medicine consult services, deprescribing practices, and addiction medicine fellowships to create the workforce to target and treat addiction.

Dr. Lembke is an associate professor in the department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine. She is medical director of Stanford Addiction Medicine, program director for the Stanford Addiction Medicine Fellowship, and chief of the Stanford Addiction Medicine Dual Diagnosis Clinic. Her real-world experience on the front lines of the opioid epidemic has made her one of the nation’s preeminent experts in understanding the cause and effect of addiction.

Register now for your chance to hear Dr. Lembke’s powerful message at our San Francisco Conference, November 4-7, 2018.
